With this ring.....

Hello everyone this bright Sunday afternoon. I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.
This is a commissioned Wedding Day card I've recently completed and is in Ivory with the accent colour of Burgundy to reflect the bridal colours.
I used Jem's designs wonderful wedding cd "I do" for the image and background which were printed on to Craft Creations Hi-5 Pearl card - Cryogen White.
I used Gold Mirri card for matting and layering.
From a toning self coloured A4 sheet which I printed, I cut two borders using Spellbinders border die - Floral Dolly Motifs - which I then threaded with narrow satin burgundy ribbon. The sentiment die was printed in MCS and then cut using Spellbinders die - Grommet Tags - and the flourish was cut using Cheery Lyn die - Fanciful Flourish.
The flowers and gem sprays are from my crafty stash and from Wild Orchid Crafts.
I would love to hear from you on this one if you have time.
Thanks so much for popping by and haste ye back, my friends!

T In The Park.....

Hello, everyone, I hope you are all having a lovely, crafty Monday and enjoying the very pleasant sunshine we are having here in Ayrshire this afternoon. Still a bit cold in the shade however, but we need to be thankful for small mercies...lol!

The card I want to share with you today is a commission that has been lurking on my books for a few weeks, and as it is needed for early May, I finally faced my demons and set to work on it yesterday. Yes, it is one of those cards - you think about it, worry about it, fret about it and finally realise that it's not going away so you have to face it and just do it! I had no idea how I was going to tackle the brief which went as follows:

18th Birthday card for Daughter who is going to T In The Park open air concert to celebrate and has to show a tent and lots of "carry out" booze...

Now how do you make that feminine and memorable?

Here is what I came up with - I hope you like it, and I would especially love to hear what you all think of this one.

T In The Park

Thank you for popping by and I hope to see you again soon.

Haste ye back!

A touch of tartan...

Hello, everyone, here is a commission "Thank You" card that is going to Australia, hence the touch of tartan, heather and thistles!
I hope you like it.
This 7.5" square card is Craft Creations Hi-5 Pearl card - Cryogen White - with a Silver Mirri card layer, white layer and patterned layer printed with a background from MCS Papercraft Library vol 7 Finest Filigree and cut using Spellbinders die - Creative Book Pages. I cut a strip from the printed background to form the top border which I edged using Spellbinders Edgeablilities die - Classic Ric Rac - which I then edged with Distress Ink - Milled Lavender. I used my Craft Dragon to stamp the sentiment using Inkylicious polymer stamp from the Gratitude set and inked it with Adirondack Purple Twilight before cutting it using Spellbinders die - Creative Book Pages Two - and shading it with Distress Ink - Milled Lavender. I fastened a strip of narrow tartan ribbon around the white layer and finished with a bow with some white heather flowers. The purple thistles and white heather embellishments are from my crafty stash and the antique blue curly wild rose, blue tea roses and white gypsy are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Some crystal adhesive gems complete this design. Thank you for popping by, and I hope you will come again soon. Haste ye back! Hello, everyone, this is a sample/demo made for Jem's Designs Easter Monday show on Create & Craft.

He is "The Abandoned Warrior"
I used backgrounds, topper and tag from the cd printed onto Super Smooth card and used Silver Mirri card to layer the main topper on to. Whispering Wings....

Happy Easter Monday, everyone. I hope you're having a lovely day.
I'd like to share my latest commission that I've just finished this afternoon.
It's a 70th Birthday card created using Jem's Designs "Whispering Wings" cd.
This is an A5 card printed on 1 x A4 Cryogen White card from Craft Creations Hi-5 Pearl range. I printed a background from the cd for the base card and then printed the birdhouse, a cropped roof and butterflies on another A4 sheet of the same card. Using Gold Mirri card I cut the lattice frame on my Grand Calibur using a Cheery Lynn die and then decoupaged the birdhouse and butterflies on to it. I added some WOC Cherry Blossom flowers, chiffon ribbon bow, a little glitter, some adhesive gems (all from my stash) and a printed sentiment tag cut using Spellbinders die - Grommet Tags - to complete the design. A pink story....

Hello, everyone. and a very Happy Easter!
I've been a bit busy...lol! ...and I'd like to share with you my design samples for the latest My Craft Studio discs as launched on QVC on Thursday by Stephanie Weightman.
This was a closely guarded secret so I felt extremely priviliged to be asked to work on this, and it was so exciting to be involved with such stunning artwork.
I chose to work with the pink colour story but there are so many other wonderful colours, and of course with MCS you can change the colour to suit yourself. However, here are mine.
I hope you like them and would love to have your comments, please.
Thank you for visiting, and I'll return the compliment as soon as possible.
Haste ye back!
