Hello everyone, it's a late post from me on what has been another glorious day. I hope you've all had a super weekend and are ready to face another crafty week. Far from basking in the sunshine, I've been holed up in my craft room for the past couple of days working on commissions before tackling the next batch of samples. So, I thought I'd share them with you tonight.
This is an Engagement card from the parents of the young girl and I wanted this to be extra special for her, so this is made using a background and hearts from MCS Papercraft Library vol7 Finest Filigree on Cryogen White card from Craft Creations Hi-5 Pearl range. I used Spellbinder dies and my Craft Dragon to foil the sentiment tag. Strung perals from my crafty stash and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. I used a small leftover piece of a die cut flourish to embellish the flowers and heat embossed the two hearts.
This is an Engagement card for the same couple, but this time I wanted a younger feel, so I opted for these backgroungs and image from MCS Papercraft Library Vol5 Faith, Hope & Charity and again used the same card stock as above along with Spellbinder dies. Each layer is inked using Distress Inks - Tattered Rose and Brushed Corduroy to give definition and shading. I inked some white flowers from my crafty stash with Brushed Corduroy to match in the colour. Large self adhesive gems and white heart hat pins complete the embellishment.
This is a 21st card using Jem's Designs, Fairy Cobblers 2, which is just a fabulous resource for this type of car - bling, shoes, fairies - what girl could ask for more?
I used the same white card stock (it's my favourite of all time as it has a subtle sparkle and glisten to it) to print out the main topper and I used glossy photo paper for the decoupage layer. The hearts are also from the cd and I added text to them in MCS. I glittered the bow and the edges of the hearts and fairy's wings and added a gemstone to the centre of the bow. Small roses from Wild Orchid Crafts complete this design.
This is a 65th Birthday card for a lady who likes "words", so I thought I'd get out my Inkylicious stamp - "Far Away" to create the focal point of this card, and it gave me a chance to play with my Craft Dragon again. The background is printed from MCS - Quintessential Country Gareden - and it's just fabulous, I think. I glittered the birdcage stand to highlight it (it's part of the background) and added some organza ribbon and a sentiment tag nested in a Spellbinder die - Ribbon Buckles - which I cut out in gold mirri card. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Now this is my creation for my hubby's birthday which was on Wednesday and, as always, it was a last minute task, adn i was struggling for inspiration. So, I took my Jem's Designs, Cardz 4 Men, cd and MCS, Tinkering with Steampunk, and in the MCS programme, fused them together to make this quirky topper. It is a plain shape layered on to gold mirri card and then on to the background from Jem's. Some gold card candy was all the embellishment needed, I felt. He absolutely loved it, I'm delighted to say. I'm actually quite pleased with this as I don't usually do flat cards...lol!
