When Love turns to Gold.....

Good afternoon, everyone. I'm back again with a commissioned card that I've managed to get done today, despite feeling under the weather, so apologies again for lengthy absence on here as the DT work is just never-ending...not that I would have it any other way!
This a a Golden Wedding card made using the gorgeous Jem's Designs cd "I Do"
It's available from www.jemsdesigns.co.uk and is well worth adding to your library.
It's 7.5" square and I've used Craft Creations Cryogen White card from the Hi-5 Pearl range.
I imported the cd into MCS graphics programme and created a toning self-coloured background and printed both sides of 2 A4 sheets and then printed a background from the cd on another A4 sheet. This was then cut using Spellbinders die - Grand Scalloped Squares and layered onto Gold Mirri card which was cut using a larger size of the same die. I also cut the trellis using Cheery Lyn die - Lattice #2 in Gold Mirri card and a flourish using Cheery Lyn die - Fanciful Flourish in a leftover piece of the plain background card. the printed sentiment tag was cut using Spellbinders die - Fancy Tags Two, again on a leftover piece of the plain background.
The pyramage stack is from the cd.
I inked around the edges of the card, the bottom pyramage layer, the flourish, the large rose and the sentiment tag using Adirondack Earthtones - Caramel- ink pad.
I used my flower stash from Wild Orchid Crafts and gold adhesive gems to complete this design.
I do hope you like it and would welcome your comments, please.

My Craft Studio on QVC....

Good evening, all. Just a quick post from me tonight that I hope you like.
I can now share some of the recent DT work I've been busy with so I hope you like what you see and will perhaps leave me a comment if you have a minute.
These were for a night-time show Stephanie recorded for QVC about two weeks ago showcasing some My Craft Studio cds.
The first two are from "A Very Important Date"
which is based around Alice In Wonderland
The next two are from "Floriography"
which has beautiful floral artwork

Something girly.....

Hello again, my blogging friends. Back so soon, I hear you ask...it's a bit unusual I grant you, but I have managed to fit in another commission today. This one is for a "girly" 40th - so I hope this fits the brief. See what you think and perhaps let me know by leaving a comment, please.
It's from disc 2 of Jem's Designs cd "Elegance"
It's a 7.5" square card using Craft Creations Hi-5 Pearl Cryogen White card with a background printed from the cd. I printed out an A5 topper to which I added name and age and 2 small twisted toppers all of which I resized in MCS graphics programme. I layered the twisted topper to give some dimension and backed both this and the large topper with heavy silver glitter card just to give added sparkle and bling. I threaded narrow blue ribbon through the top layer of the twisted topper and added a couple of pearl hat pins. The sentiment was foiled using my Craft Dragon and silver foil on to white card, then cut using Spellbinder die - Grommet Tags - this one just so fits the size of the foiling dies perfectly so you may see it used often. I then inked through the die using Distress Ink - Stormy Sky - to give the coloured centre and then edged it with the same ink. I thought this was an interesting result and I really like the effect. Using a piece of the silver glitter card I cut the two corners using a Memory Box die - Madeira Corner - and glued them into place in opposite corners. The top right became the base for my flowers which are from WOC and my crafty stash. Adhesive gems complete the embellishment of this design.

Golden years.....

Good evening, my crafting friends. I've been AWOL again - sorry! It's just that I have so much design work that I can't share at times, so I have to fit in a commission now and again that I can share with you. And this is one for a Golden Wedding Anniversary.
However, before I do that, may I share some exciting news, please?
Some of you may have seen this on my fb status, but for those who haven't, here goes...
My Craft Studio has recently undertaken a change of direction and have moved from Create & Craft to QVC. As such, their product range is being increased, but the focus on card samples has also shifted and they have streamlined their Design Team to only 3 for the whole of the UK. I am thrilled that I have been selected as one of those, with my 2 co-members being the lovely Linda Trott and Liz Mahner, both of whom I consider to be friends. How lucky are we? This is a huge vote of confidence in our crafting skills and I hope over time to share some of the new work here with you.
Until then, back to my commission.
The subtle background is from MCS cd, My Stencil Studio, and is printed on to 2 sheets of Craft Creations A4 Hi-5 Pearl card, Europa Ivory, and joined before being cut using Spellbinders -Grand Labels One. Using my Craft Dragon I then stamped the sentiment using Inkylicious stamp - Special Day - and Adirondack ink pad - Caramel. This and a small piece of gold mirri card were then cut using Spellbinders - Label One . The stamped layer was inked with the same Caramel ink to give definition around the edges. The small sentiment tag was made by foiling on my Craft Dragon and then cut using Spellbinder - Grommet tags - and then inked around the edges.
Gold mirri card was cut using Spellbinder - Floral Dolly Motifs - and a memory Box die - La Rue Flourish - for embellishments. I cut the flourish in half as the base for the floral embellishments which used flowers from WOC and my crafty stash. Gold adhesive gems complete this design.
