This is a 70th Birthday Card I have made using, again, MCS Tinkering With Steampunk cd, and I think this image shows that it's not all weird and wonderful images on this cd, so if you want the more traditional artwork, there are elements of it here.
I used cream linen cardstock and printed the image onto Glossy Photo Paper to contrast it and matted and layered it onto gold mirri board. I then printed the train image out slightly larger than the background image and decoupaged it so that it overhangs the main area for a different look. To finish the design I used gold peel off borders and corners and, finally, gold card candy was put on to the sentiment tag (Spellbinders die : Grommet Tags) after this photo was taken (camera battery ran out!).
Sheenagh i love your cards in this posting - i dont get steampunk as it doesnt appeal to me but i realy like what you have created. Your train card would have been perfect for my new blog Transport challenge that i launched today. BTW i still dont see your Follow button to join your blog. ive tried now on 2 different laptops in case it is my browser but thats 2 and its still not there. really odd.
ReplyDeleteHello Gill. Thank you so much for your comment. Can I enter the train one in your blog...? Not sure if I'm allowed...lol! My follow icon (don't have a button) is on top right of page next to search box - is that the one you mean? I'm dumbing down on here, it would appear...lol x
