Today's creations...

This is an 80th Birthday Card for which I used the very latest MCS cd, Tinkering With Steampunk. (A genre about which I knew little or nothing). However, I must say that I am loving what I've seen of it so far, so I suspect you will see more of it as time goes on. I used plain white cardstock for the main card, printed a matching coral background and then constructed the background using elements and images from the cd. The lady, I decoupaged to bring depth to the design and I trimmed the coral background with black peel off borders. I used a Spellbinder die, Parisian Accents, for the sentiment tag and a piece of black satin ribbon beneath it completes the design. I am pleased with the result.
This is a 70th Birthday Card I have made using, again, MCS Tinkering With Steampunk cd, and I think this image shows that it's not all weird and wonderful images on this cd, so if you want the more traditional artwork, there are elements of it here.
I used cream linen cardstock and printed the image onto Glossy Photo Paper to contrast it and matted and layered it onto gold mirri board. I then printed the train image out slightly larger than the background image and decoupaged it so that it overhangs the main area for a different look. To finish the design I used gold peel off borders and corners and, finally, gold card candy was put on to the sentiment tag (Spellbinders die : Grommet Tags) after this photo was taken (camera battery ran out!).
