T In The Park.....
Hello, everyone, I hope you are all having a lovely, crafty Monday and enjoying the very pleasant sunshine we are having here in Ayrshire this afternoon. Still a bit cold in the shade however, but we need to be thankful for small mercies...lol!
The card I want to share with you today is a commission that has been lurking on my books for a few weeks, and as it is needed for early May, I finally faced my demons and set to work on it yesterday. Yes, it is one of those cards - you think about it, worry about it, fret about it and finally realise that it's not going away so you have to face it and just do it! I had no idea how I was going to tackle the brief which went as follows:
18th Birthday card for Daughter who is going to T In The Park open air concert to celebrate and has to show a tent and lots of "carry out" booze...
Now how do you make that feminine and memorable?
Here is what I came up with - I hope you like it, and I would especially love to hear what you all think of this one.
T In The Park
Thank you for popping by and I hope to see you again soon.
Haste ye back!

A touch of tartan...
This 7.5" square card is Craft Creations Hi-5 Pearl card - Cryogen White - with a Silver Mirri card layer, white layer and patterned layer printed with a background from MCS Papercraft Library vol 7 Finest Filigree and cut using Spellbinders die - Creative Book Pages.
I cut a strip from the printed background to form the top border which I edged using Spellbinders Edgeablilities die - Classic Ric Rac - which I then edged with Distress Ink - Milled Lavender.
I used my Craft Dragon to stamp the sentiment using Inkylicious polymer stamp from the Gratitude set and inked it with Adirondack Purple Twilight before cutting it using Spellbinders die - Creative Book Pages Two - and shading it with Distress Ink - Milled Lavender.
I fastened a strip of narrow tartan ribbon around the white layer and finished with a bow with some white heather flowers.
The purple thistles and white heather embellishments are from my crafty stash and the antique blue curly wild rose, blue tea roses and white gypsy are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Some crystal adhesive gems complete this design.
Thank you for popping by, and I hope you will come again soon.
Haste ye back!
Crafty hugs, Sheenagh x
